Edgar encouraged the cult to convince themselves that “Catoptrophobia” was a reality worth recognizing. Catoptrophobia is a fear of mirrors, and within the Hammet cult’s various lairs, mirrors were forbidden in any form. Underneath Hammet’s tutelage, the cult developed their own set of rules and guidelines, living in almost a created world. The lairs which they shared had a specific set of regulations that had to be upheld at all times.
